IFMBE is now seeking nominations for:

(A) IFMBE Officers’ positions, namely, President-Elect, Secretary-General, and Treasurer, for the 2015-2018 term

(B) Two (02) Administrative Council (AC) Members to serve two successive terms (2015-2018 and 2018-2021)

The term of office in the AC for Prof. Olof Lindahl and Prof. Luis Kun will expire at the World Congress 2015 as they have served two terms: 2009-2012 and 2012-2015; while Prof. Maria Siebes and Prof. Mario F. Secca will continue for another term from 2015-2018

(C) Six (06) Division Members to serve for two successive terms (2015-2018 and 2018-2021); consisting of three (3) members for the Clinical Engineering Division (CED) and three (3) members for the Healthcare Technology Assessment Division (HTAD)

The following members will continue their term till 2018:
CED – Prof. Saide Calil (Chair), Prof. Ernesto Iadanza, Prof. Ewa Zalewska, and Prof. Tony Easty
HTAD – Prof. Nicolas Pallikarakis (Chair), Prof. Patricia Trbovich, Prof. Leandro Pecchia, and Prof. Mladen Poluta

 

NOMINATION PROCESS

Each Society may nominate any of its delegates interested in becoming IFMBE AC Members, Officers, or Division (CED or HTAD) Members.

In order for a Society to nominate a candidate, the society must be in good standing with the annual membership dues payment to IFMBE. It is expected that the society contacts the nominated candidate to confirm their willingness to serve in the proposed position. Each candidate must complete the nomination form and submit it via email to [email protected] with a copy to [email protected] no later than 22nd December 2014.

Once the candidate has met these criteria, the candidate’s information will be passed on to the IFMBE Nomination Committee for review and approval.

The list of nominees will be announced upon approval. The election process will be conducted during the General Assembly at the World Congress 2015 in Toronto, Canada.
