18th International Symposium on 3D Analysis of Human Movement (3DAHM 2024)
December 3–6, 2024, Montevideo, Uruguay
The 18th International Symposium on 3D Analysis of Human Movement (3DAHM 2024) was held in Montevideo, Uruguay, from December 3 to 6, marking the first time this prestigious event took place in Latin America. Renowned for being the leading international forum on 3D Human Movement Analysis, the symposium addressed topics in rehabilitation, sports medicine, biomechanics, and innovative technologies.
The event focused on diverse aspects of 3D movement analysis, including inertial sensor technologies, rehabilitation systems, sports training equipment, and clinical applications. A special focus on Tango studies provided a local flavor, showcasing how biomechanical analysis intersects with cultural heritage.Startups specializing in 3D analysis technologies, devices, and software actively participated, presenting innovative solutions and fostering networking opportunities. Key sessions included live demonstrations of wearable sensors, advanced kinematic models, and clinical case studies on rehabilitation.
All sessions were conducted in English, with simultaneous Spanish translation available for attendees requiring it. The symposium successfully blended scientific rigor, cultural enrichment, and collaboration opportunities, leaving a lasting impact on the global 3D biomechanics community.
