Professor Virginia Ballarin was elected Vice-President of IFMBE for the term of office 2025-2028.
Professor Leandro Pecchia and Professor Maria Fernanda Cabrera were re-elected to the offices of IFMBE Secretary General and Treasurer, respectively.

The IFMBE elections started on July 1, 2025.
In accordance with the IFMBE Bylaws, the election process takes place in two parts.
In the first part, also known as the Officers category, voters of the IFMBE General Assembly responded in large numbers via electronic voting and in the period from July 1 to July 6 elected new or confirmed existing officers for the term of office (2025-2028).
The IFMBE ad hoc Election committee confirmed the voting results.
The new IFMBE Vice-president is Virginia Ballarin, and Leandro Pecchia and Maria Fernanda Cabrera remain in the positions of IFMBE General-secretary and IFMBE Treasurer for the next three years.

The second round of elections for the non-Officer category began with electronic voting today, July 10th .
To whom the members of the IFMBE General Assembly will entrust to represent and work for the IFMBE, we will have to find out in the coming days.
