The World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), in partnership with the Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII), has announced and sent the invitation to the 2026 main global celebration of the World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development (WED 2026), to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 3 to 5 March 2026. This flagship in‑person event is organized with the support of UNESCO under the theme “Smart Engineering for a Sustainable Future Through Innovation and Digitalization”. The theme highlights the essential role of engineering in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with particular emphasis on SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.
