The Moroccan Medical and Biological Engineering Society (MMBES) aims to integrate into the global biomedical engineering community, strengthen scientific collaboration, and contribute to the advancement of biomedical engineering in developing regions. Through IFMBE membership, the Society aims to exchange expertise, promote high-quality training and research, support innovation in healthcare technologies, and reinforce our national efforts to develop a strong, recognized, and impactful biomedical engineering ecosystem in Morocco.
MMBES aims to advance biomedical and biological engineering in Morocco by promoting research, innovation, and high-quality education. The Society supports safe and efficient medical technologies, strengthens collaboration between academia, healthcare institutions, and industry, and contributes to national health system modernization.
MMBES is taking part as a comunity partner at the GITEX – FUTURE HEALTH Africa in Casablanca, May 4th-7th, 2026. The Moroccan Society of Medical and Biological Engineering (MMBES) and the Higher Institute of Health Sciences of Settat organized the National Day of Medical and Biological Engineering with the main theme Biomedical engineering and reform of the national health system: challenges, issues and perspectives on November 13th, 2025 at the Higher Institute of Health Sciences – Hassan 1st University of Settat.
MMBES has applied for IFMBE membership in 2025. After receiving a positive opinion from both, the Constitution and Bylaws committee and the Membership Committee, the General Assembly elected the Moroccan Society of Medical and Biological Engineering as a full member of the Federation on 27th March 2026.
