Invitation to IFMBE members
You are kindly invited to the 1st World Congress on Electroporation and Pulsed Electric Fields in Biology, Medicine and Food & Environmental Technologies (WC2015), to be held in Portorož, Slovenia, from 6th to 10th of September, 2015.
This IFMBE-endorsed event will be the first scientific event of its kind, bringing togeteher researchers and users of electroporation-based technologies from academic institutions and industry. Over a period of roughly three decades the field of electroporation-based and related technologies has been characterized by rapid research and development and wide diversification of its application areas.
Electroporation-based and related technologies are all about the use of high-energy electromagnetic fields to modify properties and function of biological cells from the level of individual cells to whole organisms. These methods can be and are successfully used in a wide range of applications from treatment of tumors in cinical environment to industrial-scale extraction of nutrients and purification of water.
We believe that the topic of electroporation-based technologies may be of interest to a wider community of medical and biological engineers.
