CED Call For Nomination (Closed: 20 February 2012)

The term for several of Officers (Five Board members) to the Clinical Engineering Division (CED) are ending and we are hereby inviting nominations for these open positions. The elected candidates will serve on the Board for a term of six years.

Nominations (including self-nominations) are invited from now until Monday, 20 February 2012.  Completed forms (scroll down the page for the 2 forms) should be submitted to the attention of the Election Committee Chairman – Yadin David at: [email protected]. Please insert in the Reference line: CED Board member nomination.

In addition, CED activities are reported at the IFMBE quarterly Newsletter under the CED column available at the website: https://ifmbe.org/ifmbe-news/.

The CED Election committee is seeking to receive nomination of candidates who:

  1. Are engaged in and hold expertise in the clinical engineering field.
  2. Are not presently serving as CED Board member.
  3. Expressed their willingness to serve and promote the CED mission.
  4. Are able to commit to an average of 5 hours/month for CED projects and to participation in on-line virtual meetings of 1 hour each quarter.
  5. Are team players who are interested to collaborate and promote global clinical engineering issues, and
  6. Are well networked with peers in their region.

The slate of candidates will be presented to the CED Board for balloting and the results of the election will be announced early 2012. Please note that in order to have, as much as possible, global representation on the CED Board – duplication of representative from same country will need to be justified.
