IFMBE Latin America Summer School,“Emerging Technologies to Support Health for Independent Living,” hosted by Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ), held its 9th edition, also celebrating 10 years since its foundation!
This international program is sponsored by the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE). The school took place from June 24th to June 28th, with a closing ceremony honoring distinguished guests from IFMBE and PUJ.
This year’s Summer school featured 47 students from 9 Latin American countries. Students participated in various activities, including a hackathon, creating innovative solutions to enhance the quality of life of elderly, in collaboration with students from Electronics, Mechatronics, and Bioengineering programs at PUJ. This inspiring program was led by Professor Martha Zequera, Full Professor at the Department of Electronics, and member of IFMBE AC, Chair of Education & Acreditation Committee and Students & Recent Graduates Working Group.
