Today, many medical centers cannot operate at full capacity without adequate CE support. The progress of Clinical Engineering is so fast, that it creates a gap of practices and knowledge among the many regions around the world. This gap sometimes becomes quite wide due to the lack of communication among the regions since most of the Clinical Engineering meetings are local initiatives. Hence, it was of extreme importance to have an International gathering for Clinical Engineering professionals, where it could be informed and updated what is being developed in different parts of the world and how Clinical Engineers could help each other.
