Dear Colleagues and Friends,

This letter serves as a final call for attending the World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering 2018 (WC2018) which will be held in the beautiful city of Prague, the Czech Republic during 3-8 June. WC2018 is the kind of congress that medical physicists, biomedical engineers and professionals in related fields should not miss. The event, which is held once every three years, is one of the largest gatherings of medical physicists and biomedical engineers in the world. It brings together medical physicists, biomedical engineers and other professionals in related fields from all over the world to interact and sharing of ideas, knowledge, experience, and research findings. Amongst the participants are delegates representing the national member organizations of the IOMP and IFMBE from more than 89 countries and representatives from international organizations including IAEA, WHO and UNSCEAR. A key objective of the Congress is to promote advances in science and technology for the benefit of human health and contribute to the evolution of medicine. The Congress provides a unique platform for multidisciplinary discussions on scientific and academic issues from different perspectives and to foster interdisciplinary collaborations in engineering, physical, biological and medical sciences. The event creates the synergy and stimulant for participants in generation of new concepts and innovations in medicine.

An exceptional scientific programme has been planned for WC2018 with 5 plenary and 33 keynotes lectures on topics of general interest and concern to be given by world leaders and experts in the field of medical physics, biomedical engineering and related disciplines. The Congress will have more than 900 oral presentations and over 800 poster presentations covering 23 hot topics to be given by researchers and professionals of different backgrounds coming from different parts of the world.

WC2018 will also have excellent educational programmes for medical physicists and biomedical engineers. The Congress has been accredited by European Board for Accreditation in Medical Physics (EBAMP) as CPD event for Medical Physicists at EQD Level 7 and a total of 38 CPD credit points has been awarded. The Congress has also applied for CAMPEP accreditation of its educational programme for up to 78.5 MPCEC credits.

We look forward to welcoming you in Prague.
