Diapetics, an innovative health platform developed by the team of Professor Martha Zequera Díaz, from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia, was awarded the third place in the Fourth Edition of the National Innovation Award in Medical Devices held by the Asociación Nacional de Empresarios (ANDI), National Business Association of Colombia in Cartagena on June 13, 2024. The competition was in the context of the Health Forum and 30th Pharmaceutical Forum of the National Business Association of Colombia. Diapetics is an innovative medical device consisting of a telemedicine platform supported by ICT and Artificial Intelligence that optimizes in a digital environment the processes of prevention, diagnosis, design, prescription, manufacturing, and monitoring of custom orthopedic insoles for diabetic foot. This award highlights the intensive research of 14 years.
